The lonely Sunday night was spent by watching The Golden Compass movie on Channel 5, it was recommended by my mother as she kept pestering me to record the movie on my computer for her.
I was expecting a simple yet adventurous tale in this movie. Indeed it’s adventurous, filled with awesome animations and CGI sceneries, and a tale that brought my mind into other world. However, it’s story line is pretty sophisticated. Weird terms were used such as Magisterium and Gyptian, which aren’t words in the dictionary. It’s pretty hard to understand the fictional world inside the movie too; I would have to pause the recorded movie a few times just to check thesummarised storyline on the internet so that I would have a better understanding about the movie. In addition, the mix accent between the British actors and the American actors make the movie sounds weird.
The ending was abject. The story ends with a journey to save the main actor’s father from evils, and that’s it. No scene was shown on rescuing her father, just the journey to it. No wonder many movies reviewing sites rated the movie a mediocre, and so do I.
The reason why I hate watching movies in cinema is because I am afraid of wasting SGD$7.5 on a movie that many people claims that it is fantabulous but, most likely it is not to me. I have a different taste from everyone else, well most of my friends definitely. I prefer cartoon or comedy movies that have a simple yet awesome and addictive story line that would keep the story ongoing in my mind for weeks. So therefore, that is one of the reasons I hate watching movies in cinema.

The past few days of English lessons has been very discouraging, almost every lesson we would be scolded on how abject we are on writing exposition composition. The compositions we wrote were either too crude for the teacher or filled with grammatical and tenses errors. Brutal red markings by the teacher can be seen all over the papers that we had submitted. Not that we didn’t try, the efforts are there but were not really recognized by the teacher because the improvements are extremely minor and overall, the composition will not be qualified for even a C grade. The discouragement got augmented too through some facts mentioned by her about the current situation of her past few years’ students, which weren’t very good. But through these talks, I don’t think it’s viable to my class, since we are apt to forgo these examples.
Improving is not impossible but hard. I guess that we are still not used to the O level English standard since the gap between the N and O for English is tremendous. I tired reading books, newspapers and learning a few new words a day to improve my vocabulary. But still, I failed.
Hope that in next week’s composition test, we wouldn’t fail till that badly. Otherwise, I wonder what my English teacher would do this time.

My 2.4km run had always been a major challenge for me due to my feeble strength and mentality. It was quite surprising for me that I managed to pass the test with a timing of 13mins since I usually failed it. However this year, I got an extremely humiliating timing of 17mins which is the last boy to finish the test. Even some girls surpassed me during the test. Therefore, I have been crowned as the weakest boy/person in class, which is not a very glorious title to be.
Most people would say mind over matter. That is easily than said obviously.
Sometimes the fact is that the body is physical unfit. Therefore, no matter how hard you push yourself, it has reached its limit. There may be some risks if you force yourself as the heart might not be able to handle the burden and pressure. I’m sure that my loved ones would like to see me in peace too.
I guessed that after all, I would have to do some self-training. But that is not likely to happen since I’m an extremely lazy person. Let’s see how things go, I’m sure that my decision would change.

It will be an exciting March to look forward to as the teachers announced that we are going to Malaysia for our geography field trip! However, we will have to pay $65 dollars since the cheap, budget school couldn’t afford our trip. We will not be able to pay the trip through our Edusave account too. That certainly sucks, so trip better be posh else it would definitely be a bad deal.
I believe that this trip would be an enjoyable one since most of my classmates are attending it. That means more craziness among us! This would also be the last time that we would be able to go on a field trip together in our secondary school life. In addition, it’s a field trip in Malaysia! Therefore it would definitely be an exciting trip since I rarely travel overseas. This would be a great experience for me! Hope nothing bad happen out of the blue!

Monday has always been the most unproductive day every week at school because it’s mostly filled with free periods as I have taken those subjects last year. During these free periods, I would spend the time reading the some newspaper and books. However, most of the time due to distraction, I would spend the time chatting with friends and playing games on phone, leading to an unproductive day.
Focusing would be a tough challenge with friends surrounding you doing their own things, the temptation to start a conversation would be unbearable for me at least. Once a conversation has started, stopping it would be one major problem.
Small, simple yet redundant topics are started out due to boredom but the conversation would start augment itself by combining topics together. As a result, the conversation would never seem to end as it stacks itself over time, causing the topics from the beginning to be far apart at the end.
The only way to stop the conversation is through fearsome teachers. By simply staring at you, you should be able to infer the anger of the teachers and stop talking. Otherwise, you will be screwed. However with friendly teachers, the conversation would definitely be extended as the teacher joins into the conversation. Therefore, group studying will never work for me.

Don’t you just hate it when you are the organizer of an event and most of the participants were about an hour late? Next time when organizing any stuff, I will shift the reporting time 2hours earlier before the actual time so that no one will be late. Hope that this method would work!
Anyway, check out the Aesthetic night video that I have been working on the past few weeks :) Do support it by providing some comments and feedback regarding the video! Remember to watch it till the end too!
