Finally, Ihave completed the Prom Night video. I believe that this is the video that Ihave spent the longest time producing it.

For thepast few weeks, I kept on redoing this project as I was constantly unsatisfiedwith my concept. In fact, this video project was started in early December,2011. During that time, I made many of drafts of the video. However, thosedrafts look horrible to me. I guess that the main reason for that was due tothe design. Initially, I have tried many fancy designs to make the video lookmore fancy and unique. However, none of them works. Hence, I decided to put theproject on hold for the time being.

Aftercrossing over to the New Year, I decided to work on this project again.Unfortunately, I couldn’t. In fact, I stared at my computer screen for a longtime, wondering how I should continue the work. My ideas are all washed out andI couldn’t think of anymore new ideas to fit into the theme of the video.

At thatvery moment, a friend showed me a video he made on Facebook. Although the videoisn’t related to the video that I’m producing, it somehow gave me a tip: keepthings simple. Thus, I decided to abandon all the designs and just go for avideo with basic transitions and no background effects. That finally solved thestupid problem that was hindering my progress.

For thisvideo, I have used a few programs which I have never used before. For example,the motion tracking on the laptop was done on Boujou5. This is my first videothat includes motion tracking! I didn’t used the motion tracking feature inAfter Effects because many say that it sucks. Another new program that I haveused is called Proshow Producer. It was used to create the slideshow for theGames segment of the video.

For thephotographs, we used our own cameras to capture them (Kevin’s Sony HX9V, Alex’sCanon EE0D & Chen Yee’s Nikon D90). On the other hand, the footage wascaptured by me using a HX9V, except for one of the shots of the guitarperformance was captured by Chen Yee on a D90 (because I was eating, wahahhaha:D ).

The reasonwhy the footage looks so stable although I did not mount any dolly or steadicamto my compact camera is because I have applied an effect from After Effectscalled Warp stabilizer in almost all the shots you see in the video. Initially,I wanted to get a steadicam just for the prom night event. However afterlooking at the price of one, I decided to look for alternatives. Thank God Imanaged to find this alternative. Indeed, this warp stabilizer effect hashelped me to save lots of bucks!

Overall, Ithink that this is the video which I have put in the most effort as compared tomy other videos. Hope that you will enjoy it! Thank you!And here's the video.

Happy newyear everyone! It’s a brand new year, a brand new start. It’s awesome sincethere’s no school for the first 4 months this year. That means that I’mstress-free during the Chinese New Year period! That’s awesome! I have not hadsuch feeling a long time!

What’s onyour mind now? For me, I’m wondering how I should make use of my time for thenext 4 months of my holiday before poly starts! Currently, I planned tocomplete the list of Memories of Qtss videos that I have not completed thisyear.

When themid-nite bell rings tonight, it will be 2012! How has 2011 been to you? For me,the year went by pretty fast. Time flies indeed. To me, it feels like I havecelebrated the arrival of 2011 and Chinese New year not long ago. Hope that that is a good thing.

In the pastfew days, I helped my church to create a year-in review video for this year’scountdown party celebration. It’s my first time working on a major segment ofthe countdown party event. Indeed, that made the producing process of thatvideo pretty stressful. But still, it’s an honor to serve God through God’s graceand producing videos.

There werea few problems we faced during the production of the video. First of all, manyof the documents and footage were sent in late to me. Therefore, I would haveto start producing the video late. However, the due date doesn’t change. Hence,it is a rush against time as I try the best I could to complete this video.

Also, theformat of the video doesn’t fit onto the LED screen. That forced me tore-render all the whole video into other format which, unfortunately, tookabout a day or so. Nevertheless, we still managed to solve the problems ontime.

The recent trip to parts of Victoria was indeed aneye-opener. That is the first time I have ever been to Australia and a Caucasiancountry! It’s a pretty good experience for me. But still, I prefer Singapore somuch more. In fact, after returning from the trip, I felt so appreciated andfortunate that I’m from Singapore. Till now, I still wondered why Melbourne islisted as one of the top cities to live in.

The sceneries at the country side of Australia are amazing.The sky is beautifully dotted with fluffy white clouds in fancy shapes as theydrifted lazy in the sky along with many different kinds of bird soaringgracefully in the sky. The grasslands are so wide spread and huge, with lots ofcows and goats strolling around them. These really make the pace of life feelmuch slower as compared to the city area.

In a few hours time, I will be heading off to Melbourne, aplace which I have never been to. Honestly speaking, I’m not looking forward tothis trip with my family. The main reason is because I hate traveling. It’s sotroublesome. For example, there are many things to prepare for the trip andlots of money has to be spent on it. I believe that all these money could besaved for a much better use. But still, I believe that this trip would bring mespecial and unforgettable experiences that I would never be able to experiencein Singapore. It’s a trade-off after all.

With that, I have to put on hold some of my video projectstoo such as the prom night video that I have always been redoing. Also, I haveother commercial project on hand that needs to be handed up at the end of theyear. Hence, I guess that I will only be able to complete the prom night videonext year. Hope that the end results of the video would be nice!

The MRT these days have always been delayed or not working. Forthat reason, I am avoiding traveling through trains until I have regained theconfidence and have faith in the trains again.

Reading the few stories in the newspaper and the internet ofthe experiences in a trapped cabin is really terrifying. The lights were outwhile being confined in the cabin. There is nothing much you can do expect fromplaying games from your phone. Instead of doing something productive, yourprecious life time is being wasted inside the train. No food, no drinks, beprepared to starve. Worst of all, the ventilation system does not work. Thusyou might suffer from a lack of oxygen or brain damages if things get serious.

It’s a pretty scary experience I guess and I would neverwant to experience it. For now, I will just take the buses and taxis to mydestination.

Most of my videos take a long time to be rendered out. Somevideos which contain many motion graphics and effects would take hours or evendays to be rendered out. Although the specification of my computer plays apart, I couldn’t afford to get a better computer. Thus, it’s always importantto make use of the time while the video is rendering.

Today, I have made a video guitar cover of Run by Hillsong.It has been months since I last produce a guitar cover. My guitar skills aren’tthat great as many You Tubers commented so. In fact, they are pretty belowaverage. Despite the fact that some of the comments are hurtful, I still feellike uploading my covers to such sites since I believe that it will be able tohelp me improve my skills in the future.

A few weeks ago, I think I mentioned about the new awesomefeature, warp stabilizer, available in the CS5.5 version of after effects.Today, I decided to do a few test with it. Recently, I have filmed a few footagesduring my school’s prom night with a camera I bought a few months ago. Thiswould be a great opportunity to test out my camera’s HD quality in a low light situationtoo.

So less typing, here’s the test video. You have to be myFacebook friend in order to view that video.

As you can see, the video has been greatly stabilized by thewarp stabilizer. All the shots were handheld. However, they were not shaky atall. The guys at Adobe are really brilliant to come out with such feature. Nowthe shots seem to be taken from a dolly or a steadicam. An awesome advantagefor poor video producers like me.

The camera that I have bought recently is the Sony HX9V.Although it seems a bit expensive for a compact camera, it has many fancy anduseful features that are pretty cool. For example, it is able to capture panoramapictures without the need to stick them together using software. Mostimportantly for me, it’s able to record true HD videos at 60 frames per second!That’s one of the main reasons why I purchased that camera.

Prom night, the event that many of my friends anticipated,is finally over. This is the last event whereby my classmates and I would beable to gather together for a short time of fun and laugher. Afterwards, Iguess that there would be much less opportunity for us to hang around in suchcarefree manner when our poly journey starts next year. Indeed, we shouldtreasure this moment we still have together.

This is the first ever prom night I have ever attended. Ibelieve that it’s the first for many of my classmates too. Overall, the eventwent smoothly with lots of smiles and excitement in everyone’s face. Theatmosphere was infectious as many people danced at the end of the party alongwith the DJ mixes. Indeed, the atmosphere is very wild.

On the other hand, I went around taking pictures and footagethat I might be using for a prom night video that I might be producing duringDecember. This video will be a pretty big deal for me since it’s the firstvideo that I will be making that contains live footage from the event – that issomething that I have never produce before. It would be definitely exciting forme. Hope that the end results would be fantabulous.

Also, the day before prom night, I was asked to create ashort video montage showcasing the moments that the graduating batch had inschool, which will be showed at the end of the prom night event. Since I haveonly about 5hours to complete the video, I literary rushed through the project.Hence, please do not blame me for any mistakes made in the video clip. Here’sthe video clip. I really hate doing last minute works.

There were a few things which I didn’t really like duringthe prom night. First of all, the food is terrible. I strongly believe thateven my mum can cook better than those chefs at the hotel hands down. Theymainly serve typical Singaporean dishes which my mum specialized in. Paying $65dollars for such standard of food is really disappointing.

In addition, the attitudes of the waitresses were terrible.You might be thinking that they are foreigners. However, they were localaunties, which seem that they do not want to keep their jobs. For example, Irequested for a fork in order to consume my food. Immediately, she gave me anirritated, puffy and sickly looking expression and mumbled softly, but audibly,complaining that I’m so troublesome. That’s not the only bad service Iencountered during prom night. I guess that these aunties are just not veryhappy serving younger generations. Now I feel that that might be one of thereasons why the influxes of foreigners are so high.

Despite those bad experiences, my classmates and I still hadlots of fun together, taking lots of pictures as memento.

By the time I reached home, I was totally worn out. Thatexplains why this post was bought forward to the next day.

Hope that in thefuture, my friends and I would be able to meet up more often together and enjoyourselves since we will be heading onto different paths of life now. Hope thatall of us would be able to reach our goal and be happy as always!

For the past few days, I have been working on my class videoproject as usual. Currently, I’m still at the start of planning how thesequences of the video would be like. A few changes in the footage collectiondetails have been made since there would be a change in workflow. So far, thisis the most challenging and tiring class video I have ever made since therewould be a few new segments as compared to the past few class videos I made.Nevertheless, it’s a great experience and opportunity to showcase the ideas Ihad in my mind. I believe that the results of the video will be pretty awesome.

Anyway, look what I’ve found while cleaning my roomyesterday! This extremely old piece of Maplestory SEA CD was purchased at 2006,if I’m not wrong. I still remembered that the reason why I purchased it isbecause the auto-patch of the game doesn’t work, and that forced me to spend $2for a silly patch. Well, that disc sure brings back lots of old memories!

Just cameback from the fun-filled and thrilling class chalet along with my classmates.For the past few days, we had lots of fun together. Among the activities wetook part, the mid-night cycling experience is definitely the most challengingand exhausting. Nevertheless, I believe that we all still enjoyed the timespent together.

We startedthe journey from the location of our chalet, Downtown east, and cycled all theway to mid-East Coast Park. Although the displacement between the two locationsisn’t very long, we took nearly 4 hours to arrive at East Coast’s McDonalds aswe have took the long route. Fortunately on the way back, we took a muchshorter, though dangerous car route. But at least we wouldn’t have to spendother 4 hours back to where we started. In fact, we only spend about an hour! Also,thank God there isn’t any rain during our long and exhausting ‘campaign’.Otherwise I wonder how we are going to go back our chalet.

During thejourney, there were a few epic accidents: knocking into the wall and collisionwith other bicycle. These accidents are definitely avoidable. But I guess thatsome of us are pretty hyper and went wild while riding the bicycle. Fortunatelythere were only minor injuries, and we all continued our journey when everyoneis back in condition.

For me, Ifelt that this cycling trip has highlighted many leaders in our class. Theseleaders guided the entire class to our destination safely, quickly and ensurethat no one is left behind. For example, when a few of my friends and I wereunable to keep up with the fast pace of the group, some of my friends who werecycling in front of us cycled back to look for us and to ensure that we willnot be separated from the group. With that, I feel fortunate to have friendslike these. Indeed, this is the best class I ever had.

When wewere back to our chalet, I was totally worn out mentally and physically. My legfelt extremely painful as I have suffered from muscle ache immediately after Istood up from the bike. What’s worse is that I couldn’t sleep well since thereisn’t much space available on the bed. But still, I managed to get a few hoursof sleep in that uncomfortable position.

The nextday, I find myself having difficult to walk. In every step I take, I derivepain from my leg. Hence I stayed in the chalet for the whole afternoon,sleeping and watching with a few of my friends. From our facial expression, youcan simply tell that all of our energy has been drained.

After a fewhours of sleep, I feel pretty energetic and went bowling with my friends at thenearby shopping mall. Looking back, it was years since I last played bowling.And as always, my bowling skills are terrible. This can be evident from thematch I had with my friends - I scored 18 pathetic points in 10 rounds! Thatwas way embarrassing. I guess that bowling really isn’t a game for me; I shouldjust stick with pool :0

In theevening, we had BBQ. I love BBQ food, especially the chicken wings! To me, theytaste much chewier compared to other methods of cooking chicken wings.

The pastfew days have been awesome although I have been swooning with exhaustion.Moreover, I did many of my ‘first tries’ during this chalet and gained lots ofexperiences. I wonder when I will have the opportunity to meet up with myclassmates again for such a thrilling and fun-filled chalet.

Finally,the O level examination has come to an end. I feel that I could breathe moreeasily now.

It has beena pressuring and fast journey this year. Time flies indeed. I still rememberedthat it was not long ago when my friends and I kept complaining and repeatedly remindingeach other that the O level examination is just around the corner. But now, it’sall over.

For me, Ifeel that I didn’t put in my best effort for the papers. Honestly speaking, Ispent more time watching TV and playing computer games rather than studying formy examinations. Indeed, I have to admit that I am not able to concentrate ondoing works. I am easily lured to temptation such as my computers or my mobilephone. But well, since it’s over, I shouldn’t whine about it so much.

I should bemore excited that the holidays are finally here! However, I’m not sure whatshould I do during this extremely long holiday. There are a few video projectson hand, but I wouldn’t want to make videos for the whole holiday. That wouldbe extremely boring! Should I get a job? But I don’t feel like working in thecoming weeks since the examination has just ended and I would want some rest.Maybe I should get a job in December…

Just oneshort remaining paper left for the O level examination to come to an end. Andvery soon, the long six months holiday would come. Personally, I feel that I’mpretty much prepared for this upcoming paper since we were given a week to preparefor it. Hope that I would do well on it and would not render any commonmistakes I always make during practices.

Finally, Ihave updated to Adobe CS5.5. Although it was released a few months ago, I didn’treally want to upgrade to it since there isn’t any interesting features that caughtmy attention. Until today that is, when I saw this video while surfing the netabout the new awesome and amazing stabilizing feature in After Effects CS5.5.Check out the video link here!

This is thefeature that helped me a lot in the making of my class video since my classvideo project contains many video footages that needs to be stabilized. Now Idon’t need to worry about unstable footages for my videos and I would not needto purchase any steadicam for my projects anymore in the future! :) The guys atAdobe are really awesome. Yep indeed,it has been some time since I last blogged. The reason why I didn’t blog oftenthese days is mainly due to the O level examination.

But finally,the O level is coming to an end, with one remaining paper to conquer. Honestlyspeaking, I don’t think I did well for my other papers, especially for Englishand Humanities. Both papers were messed up due to the lack of time and my poortime management; I didn’t have enough time to complete my English andHumanities essays. I don’t think I will be able to get an A1 for humanitiesanymore, which many of my friends think that I would be able to achieve. Infact now, I even fear that I wouldn’t be able to make it into a polytechnic dueto my terrible English essays.

I reallyhope that I did pretty well for my English paper 2. Otherwise, I woulddefinitely fail my English. But well, these papers are over. Now all I can hopefor is that the marker would be blind enough to give me the marks that I don’tdeserve :D

I feltextremely frustrated and disappointed of myself today during the O levelscience practical examination. I don’t know why I have made so many mistakesthat are avoidable. Maybe I was too nervous to think properly the steps to takein order, or that’s my ability. After today’s examination, I felt that all myhope of achieving an A1 for science is all over.

I know thatI got many of the questions answered wrongly since I compared my answers withmy teachers after the exam. In fact, most of them are wrong. Practicalexaminations are really challenging and difficult for me. Indeed, my hopes hadbeen dashed unless some miracle happens. But I believe that I would still beable to enter the course that I wanted to go to in polytechnic.

I reallyhope that my English and Humanities wouldn’t screw up then. If not, I’m reallyin deep shit.

This willbe a pretty random and boring post. But hey, let me just update my blog with mythoughts.

It has beenalmost a year since I bought the Galaxy Tab from Singtel. Honestly speaking, Idid not regret making this choice over the HTC Desire HD which I wanted a yearago initially. Although at times it has been pretty inconvenient for me tobring this huge phone out, I’m pretty used to it now.

Today, Idecided to take the risk and flash in the MIUI Beta Rom, a new ROM for Androidmobile phones that has been pretty popular for the past few months. It wasn’tthe first time I flash a custom ROM for my Galaxy Tab. But this ROM is a portover from other systems. For that reason, I’m pretty worried that something mighthappen to my phone.

Fortunately,nothing terrible happen although certain default features of the Galaxy Tabwere not available in the custom ROM such as the ability to use the frontfacing camera since different system have different settings for the frontfacing cameras. But for that, I have gained a few new functions for my phonetoo. One of the new functions which I extremely liked is the call-recordingfunction in the ROM. Even though I haven’t tried it, but I believe that itwould be pretty cool. It’s a trade-off for certain features indeed. But I likeit.

Anotherfantastic feature which I liked a lot is the speed. Despite the fact that Ididn’t overclock my Galaxy Tab, everything seemed so smooth: mainly the homescreen, browser and the camera. I love it. In fact, I believe that I would beable to under clock my tablet to about 800Hz to save more battery!

I hope thatin the future, there would be more features available for my tablet. Alright,back to study for O level!

Today, Ihave officially graduated from Queenstown Secondary School.

Indeed, it’sa sad and woebegone day. Today will be the last day that my friends and I havethe opportunity to take photographs together in our uniform. After our O levels,we will all proceed on to different pathways of life. We might not have theopportunity to meet each other in the future too!

These fiveyears has been memorable for me. Over the years, I have gained lots ofdifferent types of friends, experiences and joyous moments. As I contemplate onthe ecstatic moments of my secondary school journey, it made me feelheavyhearted. The videos that I have created regarding the moments at schoolhave really become a great memento for me. Certainly, I enjoyed my secondaryschool’s life unlike my primary school’s terrible moments.

I remembered that initially, I wanted to enter Bukit Merah Secondary School with a T-scoreof 156. However since my mum’s stall is directly opposite from the school, Ihave chosen Queenstown Secondary. At first when I entered the school, I wasdisgusted by its poor infrastructures. Even now, I strongly believe that myprimary school has much better facilities than my secondary school! But withsuch terrible PSLE score, I should be glad and fortunate to enter QTSS. Infact, my score was exactly the minimum score required to enter to the normalstream!

Mysecondary one life has been pretty stressful. Not because of studying, butbecause of my teachers. During those days, I always didn’t submit myassignments and never failed to sleep during lessons. Also, I had to stay back almost every singleday just to meet the demands of my teachers. That made me feels prettysickening as I feel that it became a hindrance on my Maplestory and Runescape trainingschedules. Even after completing all those assignments, I have been failingalmost all my subjects. My level ranking was always the top 10 from the bottom.

Despite of that, I have met many interesting friends. We hang out together, chill, playonline games together until late midnight and just had lots of fun. Those werethe carefree and joyous moments I had.

Thingsstarted to change when I have been promoted to Secondary three. That was theyear whereby I officially quitted playing Maplestory. Also at secondary three,I was separated from my hard-core gaming friends, due to the different subjectswe have chosen, and met a new group of friends. Initially, everyone was likestranger to each other since we were from different classes. However, westarted to communicate and had lots of madness moments together very soon.

Very soon Nlevel passed, and some of my classmates proceeded on to different institutions.That was one day which I felt miserably unhappy since I know that I wouldn’t beable to see some of my friends next year.

In a blinkof an eye, Secondary 5 is over too. Very soon the Memories at QueenstownSecondary School by KngjqProductions video series that I have been producing since secondary one will come to an end. Hope that in the future, Iwill still be able to meet up with my friends.

Lastly, I would like to thank all the teachers thathave taught me over the years. I sincerely appreciate their patience for me. And all the best to my classmates for their O level examinations! Study hard!

Firstly,the website now featured my mobile apps: Android’s and Ovi’s. Thus, pleasedownload the apps if you own any mobile phone that is running those platforms!Thank you very much :) As of this date, these are the only two mobile platformsthat have KngjqProdcutions’ mobile app. Maybe after the O levels, I wouldcreate an app for the other mobile phone platforms too. But so far, I think thatthese two apps are sufficient. After all, I’m not running any big businesses.

Both of myalarm clocks, my mobile phone and my alarm clock, did ring strikingly loud.However, I have no idea why I thought that today is Sunday. Also, I was feelingextremely exhausted. Thus, I gave in to my temptation and fell back to sleep.Ugh. Looks like I’m going to miss some precious English lesson today. Hope thatmy teachers will not be teaching any important stuff today. Unfortunately, Ibelieve that they will. Damn it.

It’s downto the last week of my secondary school life. Time passed extremely fastthis year. Maybe it’s because of the number of free periods that I have this year that made time moved so quickly that I didn’t even perceive it. Not tomention that graduation day is just a few days away, I would certainly miss theteachers that have taught me over the years patiently and the friends thatreally cared for me.

That daywould definitely be a sad and emotional day as well as a transition day for meto move on to higher education levels. For me, all I can do now is to cherishthe time left as a secondary school student and enjoy the presence of my teachers and friends before graduating.

It’s sadthat the world has lost other genius. Why do most geniuses die so quickly?

Although I’mnot really a fan of Apple and had never liked using the iPhone, it is still apity that the world has lost a great inventor. To me, he simplifies thetechnology world, allowing people from all walks of life to have powerfuldevices yet easy to use. For example, the iPhone and Macs are extremely simpledevices that even a child will be able to use it like a pro. In just a fewclicks, you will be able to get your task done, allowing faster productivityfor many. Indeed, this simplicity of how phone works has attracted many likingsaround the world.

Steve hascreated many fancy designs looking computers too. When I was still studying inprimary school, the iMac G3 caught my eyes. That is the first Macintoshcomputer that I had ever used and encountered. It aroused my attention mainlybecause of its unique looking shape and transparent back body which allows meto see the internal parts of the computer; unlike the usual PC computers whichare sealed in a huge box. This just shows how amazing his creativity can be indesigning.

The world has just lost a visionary and an extraordinaryperson.

Recently, Icame across this camera called Sony DSC-HX9V. Despite it being a compactcamera, it has wonderful features and takes extremely good DSLR qualitypictures. Although it is a bit pricy, I’m planning to make a purchase of thiscamera after O levels.

First ofall, it is able to take videos in full HD quality 60p. That’s extremely usefulfor me since I have always wanted to good video camera to enhance some of myvideos that I have been producing. For example, instead of flooding my videoswith photographs taken at the events, I could include some video footage toowith this camera! Without doubt, this camera would be a great additional toolfor me for my upcoming videos that I have planned to produce. It willdefinitely be a great breakthrough for my videos.

Also, ithas GPS function which would be useful for my upcoming Australia trip. Indeed, Iwill be taking lots of photographs during the trip and the GPS function wouldbe exceptionally useful as it would be able to tag the location of where thephotographs were taken. The lack of GPS functionality in some cameras irritatesme too. For example, during my Malaysia geography trip earlier this month, I donot know exactly where the pictures were taken. Thus, all my photographs werein a mess while creating the video for the geography trip as I’m not sure wherethe photographs were taken and how should I caption and categories them.Therefore, it would be pretty useful for me to know where the pictures weretaken.

Otherfunction which I fancy would be the panoramic sweep. Although there are some digitalimaging software available to combine photographs together into a panoramicview, wouldn’t it be much simpler and an ease to capture a wonderful view inpanoramic sweep instantly? It totally captures the beauty of sceneries in awide, flat picture. This is one of the amazing features that I like about thiscamera.

Unfortunately,it is pretty costly. I’m not sure whether I should wait for the next IT fair tomake my purchase there or I should simply purchase it from the sony store at apretty painful and expensive price. Hope that it comes with certain bundles orfree gifts such as the memory card or a tripod. But I doubt so it will.

It would certainly be a video that I will be looking forward tosince it’s the final video being produced for this long series.

Tears wouldcertainly crawl out from my eyes while I’m producing Memories of Qtss 2007-2011and Memories of Qtss Secondary 5 as scenes of the joyous and ecstatic moments duringthese five years of my secondary school life flooded my mind. It is terrifyingto know that graduation day is just around the corner. Soon, it would be thestart of the O level examination. And afterwards, my classmates and I wouldhead off in separate ways. Producing these final two videos would be a painfuland sorrow process indeed. After all, I’m an extremely emotional person, notemo – I love myself okay! Don’t be mistaken.

Honestlyspeaking, I have no idea on what to do about my video production branding,KngjqProductions, after I have graduated from secondary school. Should I startother series regarding my life in polytechnic? Or should I start producing somebass, guitar or piano covers of songs that I have been playing in the past fewyears. It’s a blurry road ahead. I guess that it will take some time to uncoverthis mist ahead of my life. For now, let me continue doing my English ten yearseries. Urgh.

Guilt waswritten all over my face yesterday. My sudden brutal – maybe brutal is a littleoverstated – actions made one of my friends deeply hurt. But thankfully, allmisunderstanding has been resolved the next day with a simple apology. I’m gladthat we’re still good friends.

My temperand thinking processors would be completely malfunctioning whenever I’m feelingtired. Indeed, it’s a weird problem that I have been facing. What’s moreterrible is that that exhaustion always occurs during untimely times such aswhen I’m having lessons. Thus most of the time, I would not listen in class andwould be extremely irritated if someone disturbed me. But at times, I still tryto control my anger.

Mydecision-making on problems or answering question would be terrible too. Iguess that that is one of the detrimental factors why I didn’t managed to passthe DPA interview a few months ago - I gave complete irrelevant and uncertainreplies to the directors.

I bettertry to solve this problem of mine before taking the O level examination or elseI would definitely be in a disadvantage.

These days have been pretty boring for me. So recently, Ihave tried the Windows Developer preview of Windows 8. And honestly speaking, I’mpretty disappointed about it after trying it out. Since it's still in it's development stage, I shouldn't be too fussy about it. But currently, there are a few disappointing new features that made me pretty irritated. Just feel like sharing my thoughts with you guys!

Despite the fancy newmetro-style interface, the whole PC now seemed to be more like a tablet than acomputer. In fact, its user-interface is extremely similar to the one onWindows Phone 7. To me, that was a huge disappointment for me. I would definitely notdo professional editing in such a tablet-like operating system!

Theinstallation was smooth - did not derive a single hiccup from it. Once thebasic user information details such as the password and user name have been entered,the new metro style interface pops up immediately. As a Windows user since theWindows 3.1 days, this new interface is totally strange to me. In my mind, Ikept asking myself about what happened to the traditional awesome desktop ofWindows.

Afterlooking through the interface, I was surprise to see that now the ‘desktop’ isan icon. This is getting confusing, I thought to myself. And now I realized thatthey have made the start button ‘full screen’. It’s extremely annoying to mesince if you merely just wanted to access some simple programs or word documentfrom your start bar, the whole screen gets covered. And imagine if you’re onMSN chatting with someone or watching some television shows on Media center,wouldn’t that be irritating? Also, since now the start button is full screenwith lots of HUGE ICONS in it, I wonder how long am I going to take to searchfor the program that I want to launch.

Also, Itried out the new metro application interface. Personally, I feel disgusted.Everything seemed so tablet-like. And it isn’t user friendly at all for mouseand keyboard users! I would need to scroll through the ‘live icons’ with mymouse point on a small scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen. Theappearance of the scrolling bar is not very appealing too, and that destroysthe beautiful metro interface.

When Ientered the control panel icon, I was stunned and totally dumbfounded. How am Isupposed to navigate in this new interface?! I asked myself. And honestlyspeaking after 20mins, I still haven’t figure out a way to navigate in theapplication. I guess that when Windows 8 is released, they better include somekind of tutorials or do some improvement.

The previewoperating system came with several games that were pretty interesting andchildish.

Besidegames, it comes with an Alarm Clock feature which would be pretty useful for mesince I always take afternoon naps with my computer remaining turned on. So Iguess that I would definitely be able to derive lots of benefits from thisfeature.

Hope thatin the final version of Windows 8, it would be much better than this and easierto use. Otherwise, I guess that I’m going to use this permanently in the future!

Anyway, theabove comments are my personal user experience for Windows 8 Developer preview- just my personal thoughts and feelings about it. I’m not a professional inthe computer industry, just some feelings and thoughts made by a consumer. Tryit out for yourself, and maybe you will like it. But so far for me, it doesn’timpress me.

Finally, Imanaged to make it through the exhausting and energy draining preliminaryexamination period. The final science MCQ paper has ended in the morning. Afterthe examination, I came back home totally worn out, and went to sleepimmediately after bathing. Indeed, the past few days have been extremely demandingand pretty tiring due to all the examinations. But thankfully, it’s over. Time to enjoy life for now!

Recently, Ihave been hook up to a Facebook game called Sims Social. It’s made by thecreators of the famous Sims video game series, EA. The game is pretty similar tothe original game in some way but quite different in regarding to their functionsand gameplay. All Sims fan should definitely try this Facebook game out!

Anyway, just look at the passenger name! HAHAH!

Other yearhas passed. Today, I’m officially 17 years old. Indeed, time passed extremelyfast.

I didn’treally celebrate my birthday. In fact, it doesn’t even feel like my birthday. Notmany of my friends know that today is my birthday since I purposely removed itfrom Facebook to see who remembered my birthday. Surprisingly, some of myfriends did remember my birthday. Still, it was just a usual day – nocelebration or anything extraordinary. It was pure simple indeed, and I wouldlike to keep it to that.

Sciencepractical examination went pretty well today. I managed to complete all the questionson time but I’m not confidence that I will do extremely well for this practicalexam. Initially, there were a few challenges and problems that I haveencountered. But thankfully, they were resolved in time.

Since theexamination was held pretty early in the morning, I’m still quite sleepy atthat moment, and wasn’t quite sure of what are the steps and instructions sinceI got pretty lazy to read the questions. Also, I didn’t listen carefully to theteacher while checking the apparatus given. Thus during the examination, Ipanicked and started feeling uneasy about it because one of my experiments wasnot able to render since I didn’t realize that they have provided the apparatusto check for the gas produced for the reaction. But fortunately in the end, Isaw the apparatus required hiding behind my friend which I’m sharing the tablewith. And for the whole time, I didn’t realize it. As soon as I saw it, Iimmediately grab it and proceed on with my experiment. Thank God I finished iton time!

Whenever Ilooked down from my windows in my room during the blazing midday afternoon Iwould see many primary school children being sent back from school by schoolbuses. That reminds me of the old times I had during my primary school years onthe journeys in the school bus.

It was agreat experience taking the school bus. Initially, I was always fetched home bymy father. But as he gets busy, I started taking the school bus alone. Atfirst, I was extremely lonely since I’m the only person in my class that takesthe number 5 school bus home. But as times go by, I managed to make lots of newfriends from different ages and classes. Indeed, I always had a great timechatting and ‘fighting’ with them on the journey back regardless girls or boys.

That wasone of the best moments I had during my primary school years. I certainly missthe moments when I was young. Everything in life is so peaceful and at easeback then.

This shallbe a random blog post about an event that came to my mind.

Iremembered that there was a time whereby an ex-convict, with large tattooaround his shoulders and neck, asked me to purchase a pen from him to help otherex-convict in their lives. I rejected him due to his crude explanation andsince I was rushing for a train. Immediately, vulgarity started to utter from his dirty mouth. I was shock anddumbfounded at first by his reaction due to my rejection. But as soon as thecrowd started to stare at him, I walked away, ignoring his uncivilised act. Ofcourse, as I walked away, I felt extremely fearful that he might render certaindetrimental acts towards me. Thus, I starting walking in crowded areas and wentback home.

Certainly, it is extremely difficult for people to changetheir habits and attitudes. But if a small rejection from me made him so madand started uttering words of coarseness, I wonder how he is going to besuccessful in life and not to return to his old route.

Recently, Icame across this video on showing how a simple Pepsi plastic bottle will beable to change the lives of many less fortunate people in Indonesian. Check itout! It would definitely be worthwhile.

I’m notsure why the bottle is able to light up when it is placed on the ceilings. Butit is definitely an efficient and clever way of replacing lights and saving thecost of electricity. All developing countries should try this project out!

The end of year preliminary examination would resume on Monday. Honestly speaking, I don't feel very prepared for it. I have been constantly distracted by my computer and to plan for my upcoming videos and I didn't really concentrate on my studies these days. But fortunately, the first people of the day would be social studies. Thus, there isn't much to prepare for.

For thepast few days, I have been planning for my class video again. I’m starting toplan a bit earlier as compared to my other class videos just in case I couldn’tfinish it on time since this video will consist of several new segments that Ihave never included them before in my previous few videos. Also, I’m facingseveral problems regarding certain parts of the video.

First ofall, I would need somebody whom has the talent in mixing audio tracks.Personally, I do not have the ability to do so. In fact, all my mixes wereterrible. But I would definitely learn how to do so if I’m free during theupcoming holidays. Secondly, I would need the cooperation of my classmates tosend in video clips, appreciating their teachers or rambling about theirclassmates. This will be one of the new segments that will be included in theclass video. Hope that all my classmates would cooperate in this project and thereisn’t any feud rendered in the filming process of it.

Also besidethese two ideas, there are many more ideas in mind to make this video as poshand grand as possible. But the main problem is that I do not have the abilityto make things possible.

Whenever Ihave a conversation with my friends from prestigious schools, I would feelextremely stress and uneasy about it. I’m not sure why, but I would alwayssound so inane. Most of the time during our conversation, I am the only personspeaking in Singlish while my friends spoke in fluent English. In fact, sometimesI don’t even comprehend what they are saying since they always speak so fast. Itried to change, but it’s extremely difficult since this has been a long-termhabit. Now I’m pretty worried about my English oral examination grades.

The EnglishPreliminary was a complete disaster. I guess I’m bound to fail English.

For me, thefirst paper was relatively simple- there isn’t many difficult words on thequestions. Also, the topics given were pretty general. Hence, that made it easyfor most of my classmates to think of what to write. This time, I managed tofinish both the situational writing as well as my expository on time.Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to check for my tenses and grammarmistakes. Worst of all, after the examination, I realized that I might havewritten my essay completely out of the point.

As for comprehension,I guess that I would not be able to score above 20 marks. Not that the passagewas extremely profound and tough, but the questions were too hard tocomprehend. In fact, the questions contained many phrases which I have neverseen before! Almost all the questions require you to make inference from thepassages. What made it more challenging is that no hints or clues were given inthe passage. Thus, we would all have to make the inference based on ourpersonal general knowledge.

I reallyhope that the other preliminary subject papers aren’t as difficult as English.Otherwise, I’m so dead…

Anyway, Happy Teachers Day to all the teachers whom have taught me over the years! Have a wonderful break tomorrow!

Indeed,time flies. In just a few more days, September would come, and so does prelim,then the O level examination.

My firstprelim paper would be, of course, the both English papers. In fact, I’mextremely worried and apprehensive about those particular papers as English hasalways been one of my weakest subjects of all time. Honestly speaking, I’m notgood with languages unlike my both sisters. Maybe I do not have the genes forlanguages. Worst of all, I have never pass my English paper two before in theentire year and that made me pretty uneasy about it since the preliminary examis quite an important examination too.

Also forpaper one, I am a terrible writer. Normally, I would select expository questionsfor my essays because the topic was pretty general or wide for me to elaborate.However, at times, I am not sure how to continue or start the essay, and thesame problems goes for narratives.

I’m not toosure how am I going to study for English. But hope that everything would befine at the end of the day.

Anyway, Iwondered what happened to Blogger these days. The dates and times for my previousposts were all incorrect- they were all a day and 12hours before the actual daythat I posted! Hope that Google would get this fixed as soon as possible!

Honestlyspeaking, the Presidential Election Singapore result was quite disappointingfor me. Personally, I feel that Dr Tan Cheng Bock should have won the election.To me, I feel that he is the only candidate that has the leadership qualitiesand the moral courage to do what is right rather than what’s popular during histime as parliamentary politician as well as in other areas in his life.

Before thepolling day, I have expected Dr Tony Tan to win the election since most of the elderlyin Singapore only heard and seen the former deputy prime minister before. Evenmy mum and her friends said that too! Maybe it’s also due to all the marketing campaignstrategy by his supporting team whereby advisements of him could be seen allover the web as well as in the streets of the neighborhood where most of theelderly stay, unlike Dr Tan CB. Indeed, that’s the magnificent power ofmarketing.

Also, Iguess that one of the detrimental factors that caused Dr Tan CB to lose wouldbe most likely not being able to speakin Mandarin, which is the staple language for almost all the local aunties anduncles of the older generation, which caused some elderly to feel somehowdiscomfort and uneasy about him. Moreover, since Singapore is facing an agingpopulation issue, more of the eligible voters in the future would be elderly.Therefore, he has to ensure that he is able to convince the majority elderly tovote for him.

Overall, Ithink that it’s still a good fight overall with lots of dramas and tension duringthe election period as I was watching the live coverage of the whole electionevent at Channel News Asia. Now that the election is over, let’s promote socialcohesion. Singaporeans should come together and not be divided by theirdifferent groups and views so that we would be able to face external threatsand tackle challenges together. Hope that Dr Tan CB will be able to contest forthe next Presidential Election again in 2016. By then, I would be able to voteand would definitely support him! :) muhahaha.

Comex, theregular IT show held every mid-year in Singapore, is coming soon this September!I wonder if there are any great deals for cameras since I have been hunting asuitable one for me for quite some time. Although my knowledge towards camerasis strikingly little and crude, it has been one of my long-term desires to ownone.

Personally,I don’t like to use my friends’ camera to take pictures because I would feelpretty worried that I might accidentally destroy their posh and expensivecameras or cause any other horrendous situations to render.

Also, Iwould wish to take pictures and other footage myself instead of depending on myfriends for their photographs to be uploaded to online websites such asFacebook so that I would be able to download them and start my memento videoprojects earlier or even on time. This situation has always been a problem forme as I would have to tarry for a few days for the photographs to upload,causing a few weeks of delays before I could start creating the videos. And attimes, I would get frustrated and uneasy about it.

For me, Iguess a high-end compact digital camera would meet my demand- as long as it isable to shoot in 1080HD and at least 12 Mega-pixels. Hope that I would be ableto find an inexpensive one for myself soon.

Unfortunately,the Bada phone application for Samsung Mobile Phones has been recently rejectedby the certification team. Looks like I still have lots of works to do.

Thank Godthat the oral examination went pretty well I guess. Although I did stumble on manywords in the passage section of the oral examination, I feel that I did wellfor the picture and conversation questions. Honestly, the passage wasn’t hardat all. But due to my nervousness, I couldn’t read the words properly and keptreading or pronouncing the words wrongly.

My heartwas pounding extremely fast at that time. But after reading the passage, mynervous feeling had disappeared. I guess that I gained confidences in makinglots of inference during the picture section of the exam. Overall, I’m quitesatisfied with my performance. Finally, I feel that one load of burden havebeen lifted off my shoulders. Unfortunately, there’s still many of them beinglifted now. Hope that time would pass quickly and the O level examination wouldbe over so that I would be able to lift my other burdens off.
